The Challenge
Jax Poetry Fest is an annual month-long poetry festival hosted by a local non-profit, Hope at Hand. During Jax Poetry Fest, spoken word performances, poetry slams, youth poetry contests, and a variety of workshops are offered at no cost to the public. A brand identity to fit this fun and creative event needs to be designed, as well as a marketing campaign that can be used year after year.
The Solution
A fun and colorful brand identity with a cut-paper style as a nod to the tactile nature of poetry and Hope at Hand, Inc. In addition to brand guidelines I designed a marketing campaign including a series of postcards sent to Hope at Hand’s supporters and donors, environmental banners for James Weldon Johnson Park, where events are held, social media banners and posts, a flyer that is put up at local businesses, and a notebook to sell at events.
Marketing Materials
This is one of many other ways the Jax Poetry Fest branding has been implemented. National Poetry In Your Pocket Day is during National Poetry Month so Jax Poetry Fest celebrates by putting up poems all around Downtown Jacksonville.
