Reaching For The Sun is a short documentary about memories and how Alzheimer's disease impacts social relationships and affects significant moments in someone's life. The film introduces a hopeful perspective in the fight against the disease, presenting the possibility of a new breakthrough in medicine. Inspired by the sunlight's transitions and its chromatic combinations, we developed a color concept that evolves from dusk to dawn. Symbolizing the darkness surrounding Alzheimer's disease and the light shed on positive results, the video shifts its color grading, bringing positive news of a bright future for medicine. Connecting with the illustrations in collages, we reflect on the fragments experienced throughout life—sometimes remembered, sometimes forgotten. We created a hand-drawn typeface to symbolize the uniqueness and individuality of the human connections.
