3D Animated Crochet Dragon for Beaubnana, A Crochet Fashion Brand from China.

For the 2024 Year of the Dragon, I created a digital interpretation of Beaubnana's handcrafted dragon installation. The challenge was to translate their physical crochet artwork into an engaging 3D animation while preserving its whimsical, handmade charm.

The production process required a unique technical approach: I built and rigged the dragon's core structure in Cinema 4D, then used Marvelous Designer to simulate realistic crochet textures and behaviour. The final compositing was done in Cinema 4D, where I added finishing touches and animations to bring the character to life.

This digital dragon became part of Beaubnana's in-store displays and online presence, complementing their physical installation with an interactive digital element.
