WEST JAZZ FEST

This personal project is dedicated to my two favorite things : Bandung, the city where I was born, and Jazz, my favorite music genre.

In the visual, the main component is the flower, which represents Bandung. Bandung is known as the city of flowers. The warm tone of the image gives off the vibes of underground jazz live music, which mostly happens during the afternoon and night when people seek warmth after their day.

I drew inspiration from how the body releases dopamine when people listen to their favorite songs. Therefore, I created an animation of flowers appearing and spreading across the screen to visualize the dopamine release.

The colors are inspired by the materials commonly used in musical instruments.
