In my debut indie film project, I had the privilege of being engaged in each stage of production. From the project's inception, I took the initiative to assemble a small, talented team. Together, we delved into the creative process, dedicating ourselves to ideation, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and even sound design for the trailer. While my primary focus was on the creative aspects, I also took on the role of seeking out and pitching the project to potential collaborators.

Our ultimate objective was to bring this project to fruition, taking it from concept to final production. Regrettably, despite our relentless efforts, we were unable to secure the necessary funds that would have enabled us to proceed. Despite this setback, the experience served as an invaluable learning opportunity, allowing me to gain substantial insights into the intricacies of independent film production.

Moving forward, I remain enthusiastic about utilizing the knowledge and skills I garnered from my first indie film project. I am eager to tackle new ventures, armed with a refined understanding of the industry and a determined passion for storytelling through the medium of film.

As a film project contributor during my graduate school years, I had the incredible opportunity to work on a short science fiction film. Throughout the duration of the project, I was actively involved in various aspects, including the writing process, world-building, and sound design, with a particular focus on integrating music into the project.

In terms of the writing process, I collaborated closely with my fellow team members to develop the script. I contributed ideas for both the overall narrative arc and individual scenes, ensuring that the science fiction elements were meticulously crafted to engage the audience and convey the desired themes.

In regards to world-building, my role was to define and create the futuristic universe in which the film was set. I paid attention to intricate details, such as the social and political structures, technological advancements, and visual aesthetics to establish a coherent and immersive environment. This required a blend of creativity and logical thinking, as well as meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency and authenticity throughout the visual design and storytelling.

When it came to sound design, I sought to elevate the film's immersive experience through the integration of music. I carefully selected and composed original soundtracks that captured the essence of the story, heightening emotions and enhancing pivotal scenes. By collaborating with a talented composer, we crafted a unique and evocative musical score, aligning it with the pace and tone of the film to create a truly memorable audiovisual experience.

While watching I realize it does look like a student film I'm still proud that I got to weave a science fiction out of my head and put it to the screen with a score. The experience further deepened my appreciation for the power of music in storytelling and expanded my understanding of world-building in the realm of science fiction.
