Engaging Editorial Illustrations / Facebook: Good, Bad, Evil

As the illustrator for the article "Facebook: Good, Bad, Ugly?" ("Facebook: хороший, поганий, злий?") I aimed to visually capture the multifaceted issues surrounding Facebook’s influence and data privacy concerns. My illustrations fuse conceptual artistry with wordplay to underline the article’s critical perspective.
By employing a color palette that hints to the familiar blue tones of Facebook with cautionary reds and yellows, the artwork underscores the duality of the platform's role in modern communication. As the article is written in Ukrainian, the signature capital letter logo was substituted for the cyrillic Ф (F).
The wordplay Sotheby’s / Soldbyte’s emphasizes the concerning issue of Facebook selling user data, a key point highlighted in the article.
By blending such puns and layered symbolism with a contrasting color palette, my work aims to enhance the article’s critical narrative while challenging viewers to decode these deeper, provocative meanings.

Another illustration introduces D.i.E. (Data is Exposed), evoking both the ominous fate of users’ private information and the fragility of online security, continuing a videogames reference.
