NOSTOS, Educational Art Residency for Teenagers
The artistic educational project NOSTOS (ancient Greek for homecoming)
enables refugees and young people from Chernivtsi between the ages of 15 and 17 to approach the concept of home and its individual conceptual shifts caused by the war in Ukraine.
The logo was chosen to carry multiple concepts connected to the idea of home, as the participants were to discover the meaning of home for themselves.
The main poster used for the online promotion as well as hanged around the city.
The 'Rubiks Cube' in a poster design played the crucial part in the promotion campaign, first as a symbol of the project's main aim: de- and reconstructing the idea of home. Second, it allowed me to develop a more complex visual communication strategy, using additional posters as construction tiles.
Each tile has a famous quote about home, said by writers or sang by a music band.
Using a full creative potential of the tiles, together with the project's team we've created an outstanding artwork that catches an eye in urban environment.
