Whether you are dealing with a sick day or bad weather, you may find yourself spending the day inside the house with your child. However, staying inside doesn't have to be boring. There are plenty of indoor activities that are sure to keep your little one entertained.
Build An Amazing Fort
What better way to spend the day inside than building a fort? Use pillows, sheets, cushions, and even boxes to create a home inside your home. Does your child have a pop-up tent for playtime? Use it as an addition to your homemade fort.
Plan A Fun Adventure
Children love to use their imagination and go on make-believe adventures. In fact, the only thing your child may love more is playing with you. Use the couch as a pirate ship or airplane, or set up your child's stuffed animals to create a pretend zoo or safari.
Get Artsy With Crafts
Does your child enjoy being creative? Pull out the art supplies and let them get to work. From beads and pipe cleaners to paper plates and crayons, the sky is the limit. You can even stock up on craft supplies just for rainy days or sick days.
Relax With A Movie
If your child isn't up to games or crafts, they may enjoy relaxing with a movie. Get into your lounge clothes, gather snacks and blankets, and let your child choose the flick. Additionally, an older child may want to binge-watch their favorite TV shows.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy inside with your child when playing outside isn't an option. Why not plan a few activities in advance? This way, you are ready for that next day inside the house.
