I was using this project as another experiment to get a proper 2d look out of a 3d composition. After creating the design for the ship I began creating the motion for the animation. I utilized teh camera motion to make the animation look more dynamic before exporting it and sending it to After Effects. I utilized After Effects to adjust the lighting and shadows using AE's AI interpelation to smooth the shadows as it effects the ship. Lastly I went and added custom motion blur in a few frames to simulate speed.
