Profitability review

In my project involving a startup focused on the production, packaging, and sales of fresh fruit juices without preservatives, I was contracted to conduct a profitability review six months after its launch. This analysis was crucial for identifying inefficiencies and guiding strategic pivots to enhance profitability.

The startup faced significant challenges due to the complexity of its costing process and inventory management, stemming from its commitment to producing preservative-free juices. My work aimed to assess the business's profitability and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.

Initial Assessment: I began with a comprehensive review of the startup's financial statements, production processes, and inventory management systems. This included analyzing costs associated with raw materials, labor, packaging, and distribution.

Costing Complexity Analysis: Given the nature of fresh juice production, I identified that the absence of preservatives not only affected product shelf life but also complicated cost calculations and inventory turnover rates.
