Mitch had an idea for an AI coaching product that helped people set 3-6 month pursuits and stay consistent through structured weekly review. He had clarity on the concept and a tight runway. What he didn't have was a technical co-founder.

He'd interviewed several developers. Some more experienced, some between jobs. Most of their proposals came back polished by ChatGPT: clean, professional, hard to differentiate. He wanted someone who'd show up on the video call as the same person who showed up in the proposal.

I take on greenfield builds when three things line up: the founder knows what they want (Mitch did), the timeline is honest (4-week sprint, no fake "we can hit two weeks" pressure), and the technical architecture has room to grow without rewrites.

Prsoo had all three. The technical lift was real (conversational AI with multi-turn context, structured outputs, session management, document generation) but it wasn't a moonshot. It was a focused product with a clear core loop.

The core surface is a guided coaching conversation. The user defines a 3-6 month pursuit, the AI helps break it down into weekly anchors (Achievement, Growth, Engagement), and daily Launch and Land sessions plan and reflect on the work.

Stack:

Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind for the frontend

Claude Sonnet for the coaching conversations

Server actions for session state management

Real-time streaming for the conversational responses

A library system that auto-generates Pursuit Plans, Weekly Reviews, and Case Study Notes as the user moves through the program

A few architecture decisions worth calling out:

Stateless API endpoints with conversation context rebuilt from the database per turn. Cheaper, simpler, no session-state bugs.

Optimistic UI for chat sends. Feels faster, lower perceived latency.

Generated documents as first-class artifacts in the library, not afterthoughts. The product creates a record of the work as it happens.

The full product launched in 4 weeks from the first scoping call. Real users running real pursuits within that window. Stable, working as designed.
