Concept project. Ledgerline is a fictional product and every number on the site is sample data. I made it to show how I'd design and build a launch site for an AI fintech startup.
An AI agent that reconciles a startup's card, bank and bill spend against the books every night, and flags what doesn't add up. The audience is a founder or first finance hire with no controller. The page has to earn trust fast and get one action: join early access.
Design decisions
Calm, precise, quietly confident. No neon "AI" look and no stock photos: a paper background, ink type and one green that means "reconciled".
Amber is used for only one thing, a flagged anomaly. Visitors learn the colour language in the hero and see it again in every feature.
A ledger-rule motif: thin hairlines and tabular numerals run through every section, so the page feels like the product.
Sections follow a buyer's questions in order: what is it, why now, how it works, what it catches, is it safe, what it costs.
Built to show the product, not describe it
Three custom code components, written in React and Framer Motion:
Hero ledger. Sample transactions reconcile one by one. The AWS charge turns amber and explains itself in plain English.
Anomaly feed. Flags open one at a time and pause on hover. Visitors can mark items reviewed.
Ask Ledgerline. A question types itself, the answer streams in, then the transactions it cites appear. They add up to the number in the answer.
All three start when they scroll into view, respect reduced-motion settings, show a finished state on the Framer canvas, and are editable from Framer's properties panel without touching code. The layout wraps cleanly from desktop to phone width.
