Music Video Production - Boda Sodiq

My Roles: Concept, Art Direction, Graphic Design, Video Editing and Still Photography.

In the creation of the 'Boda Sodiq' music video, a dynamic project set to the rhythmic backdrop of fast-paced house and Afrobeats music, I took on integral roles that contributed significantly to its success. My involvement extended beyond conventional boundaries, where I spearheaded the development of the video treatment, collaborating seamlessly with the team to infuse rich cultural influences into each scene. These culturally-inspired elements lent depth and authenticity to the video's narrative.

With a keen eye for cinematic aesthetics, I played a pivotal role in crafting highly stylized and visually engaging scenes, amplifying the impact of the music's energy and rhythm. My responsibilities also encompassed meticulous art direction and set design, which helped create captivating visuals that resonated with the song's essence.

Additionally, I meticulously designed the title graphics including the instantly recognisable, colourful and on-brand ‘Boda Sodiq’ sign, ensuring they harmonized seamlessly with the overall aesthetic, thus adding an extra layer of visual appeal and professionalism to the project.

Moreover, my contributions extended to the video's seamless transition across various platforms. I meticulously prepared and delivered the video for release, ensuring it shone on social media and larger-than-life displays, such as billboards and in-bus presentations. This holistic approach to video production and promotion underscores my ability to not only visualize but also execute every facet of a project.

It's essential to clarify that I was not the music video director but rather an instrumental force behind its creative and technical aspects, from concept to promotion. This project showcases my versatility and impactful contributions within the realm of music video production.
