Background:
ZegaApparel.com, a B2B apparel manufacturing company, sought to expand its online presence and generate more qualified leads. They hired me as an SEO consultant with a specific goal to increase organic traffic and leads by 100% over two years. The company was looking for long-term, sustainable growth and needed a comprehensive SEO strategy to achieve this.
Challenges:
Low Organic Traffic: ZegaApparel.com was generating around 10k organic sessions, far below its potential in a highly competitive industry.
Mobile User Experience: The site’s mobile performance was suboptimal, affecting its search rankings and user engagement.
Technical SEO Issues: The website had underlying technical SEO problems, such as slow page loading times, unoptimized code, and crawl errors, which were hindering its ranking ability.
Strategy:
To tackle these challenges, I implemented a two-fold approach, focusing on both technical SEO improvements and enhancing the website user experience on web and mobile devices.

1. Technical SEO Optimization:

Site Speed Optimization: Improved site speed by optimizing images, leveraging browser caching, and reducing server response time. This led to better user engagement and search engine rankings.
Mobile Optimization: Ensured the website was fully responsive on mobile devices, improving mobile site performance and user experience, which is critical for Google’s mobile-first indexing.
Fixing Crawl Errors: Identified and resolved technical issues, including broken links, duplicate content, and errors in the XML sitemap, to ensure search engines could properly crawl and index the site.
Structured Data Markup: Added structured data (schema) to help search engines understand and rank the content more effectively.

2. On-Page SEO & Content Optimization:

Keyword Strategy: Conducted in-depth keyword research to identify high-value terms relevant to the B2B apparel manufacturing industry. Integrated these keywords naturally into page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and body content.
Content Revamp: Optimized existing content and created new landing pages focused on high-converting keywords, making the site more relevant and helpful to potential clients.
Internal Linking: Improved the internal linking structure to help search engines better understand the hierarchy of content and guide users to key conversion pages.

3. User Experience (UX) Enhancements:

Web & Mobile UX Improvements: Streamlined the website’s navigation and improved the overall layout on both desktop and mobile, making it easier for users to find information and take action. This led to lower bounce rates and higher session durations.
Lead Capture Optimization: Redesigned lead capture forms and CTAs to make them more prominent and user-friendly, resulting in an increase in lead generation from organic traffic.

4. Continuous Monitoring and Adjustments:

Tracking & Reporting: Used tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor traffic growth, keyword rankings, and user behavior. Based on data, I made iterative improvements to both SEO and UX strategies.
A/B Testing: Tested different versions of pages and CTAs to optimize for conversions, ensuring the site was consistently improving.
Results:
Organic Traffic Growth: Over the two-year period, organic sessions increased from 10k to 43k—more than quadrupling the initial traffic.
