The Challenge

Teremana Tequila, founded by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, had established strong brand recognition but required marketing materials that maintained visual consistency across digital campaigns and experiential events. The challenge was adapting an established premium brand system for various applications, email marketing to hands-on tasting experiences in Mexico, without diluting brand equity.

The Approach

Rather than treating each deliverable as isolated, I developed a cohesive approach that leveraged Teremana's existing brand assets; earthy textures, signature navy and terracotta palette, hand-lettered typography, and adapted them strategically for different contexts and consumer touchpoints.
Strategic priorities:
1. Brand consistency across channels Unified visual language from email inbox to physical event materials
2. Premium positioning through restraint Sophisticated use of texture and typography that reflected ultra-premium product quality
3. Experience-driven design Materials that enhanced brand storytelling and created memorable moments during tasting events

The Solution

Email Marketing Campaigns Designed newsletter invitations and modules using signature navy backgrounds and hand-lettered "Share the Mana" tagline for immediate brand recognition. Clean hierarchy guided readers through event details while maintaining premium appeal.
Event Invitation System Created "Save the Date" and formal invitations combining textured backgrounds, geometric framing, and the brand's navy-terracotta-cream palette. Balanced premium formality with Teremana's approachable "bringing people together" ethos.
Experiential Workshop Materials Developed tasting worksheets and "Cata de la Memoria" cards for Mexico distillery experiences. Materials guided participants through flavour profiles while incorporating brand patterns, enhancing the experiential journey.
Print Marketing & Tasting Mats Created promotional flyers, partnership announcements (Goldbelly collaboration), and functional tasting mats. Each piece maintained visual consistency through strategic brand asset usage, ensuring recognition across digital, print, and experiential touchpoints.
