Numen

"Numen" is the Latin term that defines, according to records of Roman mythology, the force of spiritual life or the healing power that permeates the universe, the "divine presence." Anything or anyone can possess it, and instead of being just a simple source of power, it is, in fact, the cultivation or possession of internal energy and power. It is the universal force that connects everything and everyone.

It is also used by sociologists to refer to the idea of magical power that resides in an object, particularly when writing about ideas in the Western tradition.
