Through a collaboration with ZappyRide, a startup offering web tools for electric vehicle (EV) fleet solutions, we helped design a modern, clean, and intuitive layout for Shell. The result? A web-based tool that helps Shell’s consumers learn how to best configure their EV fleets, charging stations, and site infrastructure.

We kicked things off by understanding Shell’s product goals and branding guidelines. Collaboration was fast-paced and iterative, working closely with ZappyRide’s dev team to ensure seamless implementation. 

To tackle the project’s complexity, we built a flexible modular design system that could handle loads of technical input without ever feeling cluttered. We added helpful touches like visual cues, tooltips, and a step-by-step flow to walk users through decisions without overwhelm. And of course, we brought Shell’s brand to life—staying true to their look and feel, but giving it a modern, digital-first spin.

A clean, elegant tool now lives on Shell’s portfolio and is used by customers exploring EV transition options.
