The Challenge:
Water Distributors Co., a trusted small-town utility in Summerfield, needed a brand refresh and bespoke website that reflected their approachable, community-focused, and dependable personality. Their priorities were clear: make bill pay effortless, keep customers informed with timely updates, and ensure the brand felt as reliable and friendly online as they are in person.
The Approach:
I developed a complete branding suite to give them a cohesive, professional identity that still felt friendly and local. For the website, I featured the real people behind the scenes alongside lighthearted graphics to create an inviting atmosphere. Bill pay was made front-and-center with a prominent “Pay My Bill” button in the header and other strategic spots to minimize friction. I also built an easy-to-update blog for announcements and a dedicated updates section right below the hero so important information was impossible to miss.
The Results:
The “Pay My Bill” button is now the most-clicked element on the site, dramatically improving usability. Nearly half of their traffic comes from organic search thanks to strong local SEO. Most importantly, the new branding and website now reflect the people behind the utility — dependable, approachable, and committed to keeping the water flowing no matter the conditions.
