These illustrations were created using Photoshop and InDesign. Each illustration was for a separate project and are explained in more detail below.

Mediastinum Illustration

Mediastinum Illustration - This illustration shows the anatomy of the mediastinum (chest). This was used to help teach medical students anatomy.
Brain Arteries Illustration - This Illustration was used to help medical students learn the arteries of the brain.

Nasal Anatomy illustration - This illustration was for a doctor to show the anatomy of the nose. He used in in a scientific article he wrote.

Anterior Muscles Illustration

Anterior Muscles Illustration - This illustration was part of 20 illustrations I made for a book that teaches the reader how to work out. The author wanted me to draw different muscle groups that corresponded to the targeted workouts in the book. This image shows all of the muscles on the front of the body that he talks about in his book.

Acute Liver Failure Poster

Acute Liver Failure illustration - This illustration was for an anesthesiologist working on liver transplants. He wanted one image to show all of the symptoms of acute liver failure after a transplant.

Knee Replacement Illustration

Knee Replacement Prosthetic Illustration - This illustration was made in Illustrator. The brief was to make a "surgical tool" using the gradient tool in Illustrator. None of this was painted, it was made in sections and put together like a puzzle!

Scapula Digital Painting

Scapula Bone Painting - The project brief for this illustration was to make a Photoshop painting of the scapula bone. The purpose was to show how thin the center of the bone is and you can see the background color coming through.

Hand Illustration

Deep Anatomical Structures of the Right Anterior Hand - The project brief for this illustration was to show some part of the anatomy of the hand. I chose to show the deep structures like the ligaments mostly because I like the pattern they make on our fingers and I find it incredible that we can lift so much weight in our hands!

Muscle Attachment Posters

Scapula Muscle Attachments - This simple illustration shows where the muscles attach to the scapula bone. This was for a more general audience so the style is more artistic
Proximal Muscle Attachments of the Pelvic Girdle

Early Days of Fertilization Illustration

First Week of Fertilization of the Embryo - This illustration is part of a much larger project about fertilization and development of the human embryo. I made a 3 minute animation showing how the embryo develops in week 4 using a 3D model I made. Throughout the animation, I use the 3D model to help explain how the embryo changes each day of week 4. The animation is hosted on a website I made with loads of other facts to help medical students learn about human development in utero. This illustration above goes along with the animation by providing some quick facts about week 1 of development to catch the viewer up to speed before watching what happens in week 4.

Killian Incision Illustration

Nasal Surgery - The goal of this project was to show the two separate techniques for nasal surgery.

Simple Heart Illustration

Coronary Arteries - The brief was to show the coronary arteries in a very simple drawing.
