AI-Accelerated Logo Animation & Motion Design

LangChain needed an on-brand logo animation on a compressed production timeline, leaving limited room for the experimentation and iteration typically involved in motion identity work.

I developed a hybrid AI-assisted and traditional motion design workflow. Generative video tools were used selectively during early exploration to prototype motion directions quickly, while the final animation was predominantly rebuilt, refined, and composited manually in Adobe After Effects.

The project demonstrated a practical application of AI within a professional motion workflow: using generation to accelerate ideation without surrendering creative control or production quality.

The hybrid workflow significantly shortened the creative exploration phase, helping deliver a polished animation within the required timeframe without relying on AI for the majority of the final execution.

Only around 15% of the finished animation originated from AI-generated material, while approximately 85% resulted from traditional motion design and manual refinement. That selective use of AI provided the speed advantage where it mattered most: early experimentation.

The project demonstrated how AI can function effectively as a creative acceleration tool rather than a replacement for motion design expertise, freeing more production time for refinement, intentionality, and final execution.
