Overview: I worked on a project to install and configure a BTCPay Server for a client in El Salvador who owns multiple stores. The goal was to create a reliable Bitcoin payment system that could handle transactions, generate invoices, and support multiple currencies. The client wanted to offer both Bitcoin Lightning Network payments and standard Bitcoin transactions, making the system versatile for their customers.

What I Did

Bitcoin Servers Invoices

BTCPay Server Installation:

Set up a fully functional BTCPay Server on the client’s server hosted by Quontabo.

Configured the server to handle payments for multiple stores.

Bitcoin Payment Integration:

Enabled support for both Bitcoin Lightning Network and on-chain Bitcoin transactions, allowing fast and secure payments.

Multi-Currency Support:

Customized the server to accept not just Bitcoin but also other currencies, giving the client more flexibility in their payment options.

Invoice Generation:

Set up a system to generate invoices for Bitcoin payments, making it easier for the client to manage transactions across their stores.

E-Commerce Compatibility:

Configured the system to integrate with platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, making it ready for online store payments.

The Result

This project helped the client modernize their payment infrastructure, making it easier for their customers to use Bitcoin while also expanding payment options. The client was very happy with the results and even said they appreciated how smooth and efficient the process was. This project also gave me hands-on experience with BTCPay Server setups and how Bitcoin payments can be integrated into e-commerce systems.
