This event run by OMEK, an organisation serving Black diaspora professionals, gathered leaders from Black Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for an evening of active learning and networking designed. My role involved writing sales copy to promote the event via email, social media and Eventbrite to raise awareness and drive ticket sales.

We will start with a panel discussion and then move on to roundtables designed to seek solutions to various challenges ERGs face.
The Black Employee Networking Night is designed for Black ERGs leaders, members and sponsors interested in growing the potential of Black ERGs and exploring ways for effective collaboration.

Continuing the conversation 🌳
In November, we hosted an engaging online conversation with ERG leaders including Foot Locker, Nike, Amazon, PVH, McKinsey and ING. The evening highlighted how a shared Black ERG network is a powerful way to build inclusion and change.
For this in-person event we will kick off with a panel discussion and then move on to smaller roundtable debates focusing on seeking solutions to challenges that Black ERGs face. Delicious food will be served including vegetarian and vegan options.

The event far exceeded the original sales target and attracted attendees from major brands such as Foot Locker, Booking.com and McKinsey & Company among others. Participants appreciated a sense of camaraderie and community spirit that are not commonplace when it comes to DEI events.
