🎓 MY COURSE PROJECT
PROJECT BRIEF:
Challenge: These days due to the variety of foods and also time limitation, people still would like to try different foods and prefer to have meals with their family or friends. Although there are certain people who have food allergy and aren't able to have all food ingredients or should have on specific time.
Solution: So in this restaurant app I've considered this kind of people with customizing and selecting food ingredients and time guarantee feature.

RESEARCH 1:
Understanding food allergy problems & Those effected
To understand problem like food allergy, online research was first conducted to get a basic understanding and overview of the food allergy. Next, field researches were done where: secondary researches, interviews and observations are completed.
3 Different Point of Views
Different user interviews were also conducted to : 1- People with food allergy: to understand eating allergic foods consequences 2- Patient who has food limitation: to understand some disease that are cause of food limitation for somebody like Thyroid, Diabetes and etc. 3- People with bad food habit: who doesn't like to eat all of food ingredients.
RESEARCH 2:
Understanding time importance for some people
To understand time importance for some people, online researches, interviews, secondary researches and observations were my methods to understanding and overview of time importance.
3 Different Point of Views
Different user interviews were also conducted to : 1- People with illnesses: like Diabetes that being hungry is big challenge for them and also people with digestion problem and etc. 2- Employees: who has limitation time at work. 3- Student's parents: Parents that are busy and their child should have meal after school when arrive home.

LOW-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
The low- fidelity prototype connected the primary user flow for order and payment process. So the prototype could be used in a usability study with users.

UX RESEARCH METHODS:
APP USABILITY TESTING( UNMODERATED TECHNIQUE )
In order to organizing my notes about usability test, I've used spreadsheet method.
TASKS:
I asked participants to do the most important features : 1- Allergic peoples: Please start ordering food and consider people who have food allergies. 2- Time guarantee: Imagine you are going to order food for a formal meeting in your office and delivery time is really important. please set the time to receive foods. 3-Confirmation: Please complete your order and receive confirmation message.

Early design allowed for some customization, But after the usability studies, I added other option to adding extra ingredients instead of just reducing it.

HIGH- FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
The final High- fidelity prototype presents cleaner user flow for ordering food and payment process. It also meet user needs for customizing food ingredients and time guarantee.

ACCESSIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS
Different user interviews were also conducted to : 1- Utilize Webaim Website for correction sight disability and color contrast improvement . 2- provided text in navigation bar and images in order to help someone who use screen reader. 3- Considered finger print feature for easy payment.

TAKEAWAYS
Impact : This app helps peoples to feel better about their orders, specially people with allergy. They can see all food ingredients, customize it and enjoy. Although I can not ignore importance of time guarantee and food reservation in this app.
About my design:
While designing the Grand restaurant app, I learned that the first ideas for app are only the beginning of the process. The most important part of design is usability. Also changed my attitude about life and people and learned I have to pay more attention to all people and their needs in my life.
