I partnered with Land It (who led client strategy and communication) and Tiffany Nguyen(video creator) to become Ownwellโs dedicated video editor across both organic and paid content. My job? Take long interviews, FAQ scripts, and state-specific messages and turn them into videos that feel sharp, informative, and scroll-stopping.
From YouTube explainers to TikToks and Instagram Reels, Iโve delivered over 50 videos (and counting) fully optimized for different platforms and audiences, including Spanish-speaking viewers.

Ownwell wanted to:
Simplify confusing tax appeal topics so they were easy to understand
Build trust through clear, polished, and helpful video content
Reach property owners across the U.S., including Spanish-speaking communities
Create platform-specific content that could be used for both brand awareness and paid campaigns

๐ง The Challenge
Letโs be real: taxes arenโt exactly sexy. The original content felt a little flat, mostly talking-head videos with little branding, no movement, and low retention.
Plus, since their service is very state-specific, each video had to communicate different info depending on who was watching. This meant working with a lot of interviews, data, and nuanced messaging; and making it feel like something people would actually watch to the end.

As their video editor, I handled every part of the post-production process, including:

๐ Sound + voice clarity (even when recorded in not optimal situations like client interviews)

๐จ Custom motion graphics + animation for timelines, dates, and concepts
๐ฑ Platform formatting (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta Ads)

I also took full creative ownership of the visual system, creating branded templates so every video felt cohesive and immediately recognizable as "Ownwell."
