The brief was to create an animation for International Jazz Day showcasing an old Gramophone.
My approach was to first model the Hero assets in Blender and bring them to Unreal Engine. The texturing was done using custom master material.
The disc was later animated using noise on the vertical axis to give some wobble.
I believe the imperfection in on-surface texturing and animations plays a huge role in making it feel realistic.
Quixel asset library and custom-made models were used to populate the room.
