Designed a rugged, vintage-inspired homepage for an excavation company that needed to establish credibility and generate service inquiries from property owners and contractors.
The Challenge
The company had strong local reputation but zero online presence. They needed a homepage that communicated reliability, experience, and professionalism to both residential and commercial clients searching for excavation services.
My Approach
Industry Research: Analyzed construction and trades websites to understand what builds trust in blue-collar industries
Wireframing: Structured the page in Figma with service clarity, project photos, and prominent contact information
Visual Design: Vintage-inspired aesthetic with bold typography, earthy tones, and strong imagery of equipment and completed projects
Development: Built in Framer with responsive design and fast loading for mobile users
Local SEO: Configured for excavation keywords, service area terms, and "near me" searches
Key Features
Bold hero section with equipment imagery, tagline, and "Get a Quote" CTA
Services grid with clear descriptions of excavation, grading, demolition, and site prep
Project gallery showcasing before/after photos of completed work
About section with years of experience, certifications, and insurance information
Testimonial section with reviews from satisfied property owners and contractors
Service area map showing coverage radius
Contact section with phone number, form, and business hours prominently displayed
Mobile-responsive for contractors and homeowners searching on job sites
Results
A credible, professional homepage that positions the company as the trusted local excavation expert and converts website visitors into quote requests.
