EVM Inscriptions Platform

EVM Inscriptions platform is a fresh idea that's making waves in the world of Web3, and people are even calling it "NFT 2.O." What makes it unique? These digital items, or Inscriptions, can live on blockchains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon. Unlike the NFTs we're used to, you don't need a separate kind of token or any significant changes to how these blockchains work to create or own an Inscription. This case study is about our journey to design a website that makes it easy for anyone to get into Inscriptions, whether driving, showing, or trading them.

Inscriptions are a new kind of digital item that's getting popular fast. But it takes a lot of work to use them right now. Most websites only focus on regular NFTs and only help a little with Inscriptions. This user experience confuses people who want to make, show, or trade them. It's especially tough for people who are new to all this. They find it hard to make Inscriptions because it's too complicated, and there needs to be clear help. So, we need a special place where people can easily create, show, and trade Inscriptions without needing clarification.

The primary objective is to design a platform as a one-stop solution for everything related to Inscriptions. This means creating a user interface and experience that is visually appealing and intuitive experience enough for even beginners to navigate easily. The platform aims to simplify creating an Inscription flow by offering features like drag-and-drop content embedding and step-by-step guides. Furthermore, it will provide a secure and transparent marketplace for trading Inscriptions. The goal is to make the platform the go-to destination for creating, viewing, and selling Inscriptions, lowering the entry barrier and making this innovative digital asset accessible to a broader audience.

Competitor Analysis: We looked closely at two existing platforms that people currently use for Inscriptions: ethscriptions.com and ord.io. Ethscriptions.com is geared towards Ethereum-based Inscriptions, but users find navigating difficult. Specifically, the platform makes it difficult for people to add different types of content, like pictures or text, to their Inscriptions. On the other hand, ord.io aims to be more versatile by supporting multiple blockchains like Ethereum and Polygon. However, its user interface and experience could be more intuitive. Users often find themselves lost, especially when trying to trade Inscriptions, due to an overload of options and unclear directions.

This in-depth look at the competitors gives us valuable insights into the user pain points and gaps in the current market. It helps us understand what we must focus on to make our platform the go-to destination for everything related to Inscriptions.User Interviews: We conversed with potential users by showing them a draft version of our website alongside other live websites offering similar services. The feedback was consistent: people seek a simple, safe, easy-to-use platform. They want everything simple to create or sell Inscriptions. They're looking for a platform that offers a simple UX flow, guiding them through each process step from start to finish. This feedback is invaluable as it highlights the core needs of our target audience and will help us in designing a platform that is both user-friendly and meets these specific requirements.

Ideation: The first step was a series of brainstorming sessions where the team threw around different ideas. One of the standout ideas was a drag-and-drop feature that would make it super easy for users to add pictures, text, or other content to their Inscriptions. Another was a simplified trading interface to remove the confusion often seen on other platforms.

Wireframes: After settling on some key ideas, we sketched out basic layouts. These wireframes helped us see how users would move through the platform and interact with its features. It gave us a visual guide to ensure we were on the right track.

Prototyping: With the wireframes as a guide, we built a basic clickable prototype for Internal testing with some potential customers. This area wasn't just a bunch of pictures; it was a basic working model of how the platform would function. We used this to see how our design ideas would work in a real-world setting, ensuring everything was user-friendly.

User Testing: Next, we had people try out the prototype. We watched how they used it and asked for their thoughts. The good news was that most people found it easy to use. They especially liked the drag-and-drop feature for adding content to Inscriptions and the simple trading interface.

Finalization: Considering all the feedback and observations, we made some final tweaks to the design. We polished up any rough edges and ensured everything was ready for the developers to start building the platform.

EVM Inscriptions are redefining the concept of digital assets in the Web3 world. Our platform aims to fill the existing gaps by offering a user-friendly, secure, and feature-rich environment. With these carefully designed features, we believe the platform will make Inscriptions more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
