Future of Motion Summit Event Promo

A complete brand and motion package for the FOMS event, built from a blank page. Script, identity, and animation, all under one roof. This case study breaks down the full journey from concept to final cut, and everything in between.

The Brief / Context: FOMS needed a fresh identity and a promo that could stand out in a saturated conference calendar - with zero existing brand assets to build from. I took on the entire pipeline solo: strategy, script, brand, and motion, delivered on a tight event-launch timeline.

Creative Strategy: The goal: position FOMS as premium, forward-thinking, unmissable. I built the concept around a visual language that felt cinematic rather than corporate, aimed squarely at audience, to earn attention in a crowded feed and a crowded venue.

Brand Building: Logo, type, color, and graphic system - designed from scratch to feel bold and modern. The palette drew on mood; typography leaned confident and clean. Every asset was built to animate, not just sit still - motion was baked into the identity from day one.

Script & Story Development: The script moved from a broad brief to a tight three-act structure - hook, build, CTA in under 250 words. Early drafts leaned informational; the final cut leaned emotional, trading feature-listing for a story that made the event feel like a moment worth attending.

Visual Direction: Styleframes locked the look before a single frame moved - color, composition, typography in motion. This stage caught issues early and got client buy-in fast, keeping the animation phase focused purely on execution instead of second-guessing the visual direction.

Motion Design Process: Storyboard to animatic to final render - built entirely in After Effects and Illustrator. Signature transitions and pacing choices carried the brand's energy scene to scene, turning static brand elements into a living, rhythmic sequence that never felt static or templated.

Final Video: [Embed final video here] The finished piece brought script, brand, and motion together into one cohesive 80 second promo - built to open the event, travel on social, and give FOMS a visual identity it didn't have before.
Impact: Early response confirmed the strategy: a distinct, premium identity helped FOMS stand apart from competing events in attendees' feeds and inboxes alike.
