Overview
I developed a Windows desktop application to assist with repetitive appointment-availability checks on the ICP Plus Extranjería portal. The project combines a Tkinter interface with a Playwright browser-automation engine.
The problem
Appointment searching involves repeated navigation and availability checks. The goal was to put configuration, monitoring controls, status information, and manual handoffs into one desktop interface.
What I built
- A Tkinter interface for province, office, procedure, nationality, and applicant details.
- A visible-browser workflow with a persistent session and repeated availability checks.
- A next-check countdown, activity log, and stop controls.
- Manual handoffs for CAPTCHA, SMS, and security verification.
- Diagnostic screenshots and safe stopping when the portal rejects requests or shows an unexpected page.
- Windows application builds and installer files, with setup documentation.
Technology
Python, Tkinter, Playwright, JSON configuration, PyInstaller, and Inno Setup.
Client feedback
5.0/5 — Upwork contract: “Appointment Bot”, September 13–15, 2026.
“He understood exactly what I needed, communicated clearly, and was always available to help whenever I had questions.”
Feedback is reproduced from a client-review screenshot supplied by Ali Ahmed Dar, who confirmed that the contract relates to this project. It is Upwork feedback, not a native Contra review.
Scope and limitations
This is an appointment monitor and assisted browser workflow, not a guarantee of appointment availability or unattended booking. CAPTCHA, SMS, security challenges, and final confirmation remain manual. Website changes and access restrictions can affect operation.
