While trying to understand about
CUSTOMER’S TRUST,
I have NOTICED SOMETHING, that
sounds interesting to me.
When a customer or client comes to
us,
They usually come with a REQUIREMENT,
or
A PROBLEM that they want to solve.
Whether that problem is related to
a
Product,
Brand,
Technical Work,
Education or anything else.
“I realised that, somewhere the
customer is EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED with that problem.”
“Because they EXPECT that their
core problem should be UNDERSTOOD and solved.”
This is where I see a CONNECTION
between,
BUILDING A PRODUCT and BUILDING
CUSTOMER TRUST.
A product may INTRODUCE the
solution.
But
TRANSPARENCY helps the customer to
understand,
The Product,
The Brand and
Even the Founder behind it.
During the CONVERSATION, If the
Product Value,
Work Pattern and
Approach become clear to the
customer.
I believe HALF of the DECISION is
made right there.
Here,
Trust can start with one INTERACTION,
But
Sustainable trust depends on REPETITION.
One or two good conversations
CANNOT GUARANTEE long-term trust.
“What matters is the consistent
behaviour towards the problem-solving pattern.”
For me, that means REPEATEDLY
SHOWING the customer that:
I UNDERSTAND the problem.
I KNOW whether I can solve it.
I have the KNOWLEDGE and FRAMEWORK required for it.
I can COMMUNICATE the process with clarity.
Let’s understand with an EXAMPLE:
As a FOUNDER of Manjot Kaur Writes
and
Another FOUNDER comes with a PROBLEM
related to their product or brand.
At that moment,
One founder is the PROBLEM SOLVER,
while
The other is PROBLEM HOLDER.
As a PROBLEM SOLVER,
I first need to UNDERSTAND that I
actually have a solution for that problem.
If I DO NOT have the solution,
Here TRANSPARENCY matters more
than PRETENDING.
“Because SUSTAINABLE TRUST cannot
be built through one impressive conversation.”
It is BUILT through,
Repeated Experiences,
Consistent Behaviour,
Clear Communication and
The value delivered while solving
the problem.
“Long-term trust or collaboration
is just a possibility, not a guarantee.”
We CAN BUILD the foundation for it
through our work.
But
The FINAL DECISION always belongs
to the client.
Because their,
Mindset,
Requirements,
Priorities and
Circumstances also matter.
CONCLUSION:
PRODUCT can solve a problem.
But
Consistent problem-solving
behaviour can build TRUST.
BUILDING A PRODUCT vs BUILDING
CUSTOMER TRUST
What really makes customers
trust a product?
TRUST Begins Beyond the PRODUCT
