I collaborated with Diaspora Lingua, a company that teaches people different languages and cultures. They wanted something fresh — characters that represent each country and could make their lessons more lively and relatable.
Goals
My goal was to design unique characters for countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa, and then use them in animations that explain alphabets and basic language elements in a fun and simple way.
Challenges
The tricky part was how to capture each country’s cultural identity in a single character design without making it too complicated for animation. I also had to make sure the animations were both educational and entertaining, so learners wouldn’t get bored.
Solutions/Outcomes
I created distinct characters that matched each country’s vibe and used them in smooth 2D animations. The final result was fun, clear, and engaging content that helped learners connect with the languages better. The project taught me how to mix creativity with education, and Diaspora Lingua was happy because the animations worked well for their lessons.
