Receipts: checks what a repository claims against its code
A README says things: a licence badge, an install command, a supported Python version, an example that calls a function. Receipts checks each claim against what actually backs it in the repository, offline, and writes one HTML report.
Badges against the LICENSE file and the packaging metadata.
README examples against the functions and command-line flags the code actually defines.
requires-python against the syntax the package really ships.
Release notes against the commits in the release range.
Each claim comes back as contradicted, unbacked, stale, or not checked with a stated reason; nothing is passed silently.

Run across 69 real repositories; one finding was reported upstream (python-docx #1620). 36 tests, no network access needed. Built for the Build With AI challenge on Devpost.
