Settlement Check: who really settles a prediction market
A prediction market sells you a question. Settlement Check asks the one thing the market page does not answer: when this resolves, what decides it, and could anybody else have checked that decision? It reads the Panta market API and the Solana chain, read-only, and never signs or sends a transaction.
13 of 100 markets the API served as tradeable had no account on Solana at all; Panta’s own site shows them as “Market not found on-chain”.
The card comes back in two shapes. Asked for the same market card four times, 14 of 30 markets changed between complete and stripped, with nothing in the response saying which.
One key settles everything. Every settlement read so far, 34 of 34 in the live feed, was signed by the same keypair, while each market card carries a flag pointing to UMA.
Defects were reported to the team first and re-measured after their fixes; claims that did not survive checking are listed in the README with their corrections.
Running on its own
Every hour a GitHub Actions run reads the market program’s newest transactions through Solami’s RPC and publishes each settlement with the account that signed it; every row links to Solscan. 85 tests, no dependencies, ./run.sh works from a fresh clone. Built for the Colosseum Crypto World’s Fair (Panta and Solami sidetracks).
