I was hired by the Britto team to direct this video, which captured Jair Bolsonaro’s first visit as President of Brazil with the world-renowned Brazilian artist Romero Britto. The opportunity was a high-stakes privilege that let me weave together politics, culture, and vibrant Brazilian pride into a singular, visually striking narrative. As the director, I aimed to immortalize this historic moment—Bolsonaro, a polarizing leader, meeting Britto, Brazil’s pop art ambassador—into a 1 minute piece that pulsed with energy, showcased their personalities, and celebrated a fusion of national identity and creative legacy. This wasn’t just a handshake on camera; it was a chance to frame a cultural milestone, and I poured every ounce of my vision into making it resonate.
