KitchenwwareGenie — Figma to Shopify: Custom Liquid Theme with Fully Editable Page Settings

KitchenwwareGenie came to me with an existing store that no longer reflected where the brand was heading. The design felt generic, the layout wasn't built around how their customers shop, and the client had no easy way to update content or images without involving a developer every time.
The goal was clear: redesign the entire store from scratch and build it in a way that gives the client full control after handoff.
The Approach
I started in Figma. Every page — homepage, collection, product, cart, and supporting pages — was fully designed before a single line of Liquid was written. This meant the client could review and approve the complete visual direction before development began, avoiding costly changes mid-build.
Once the design was signed off, I moved into Shopify and built the entire theme from scratch in Liquid. No third-party page builder. No template as a base. Pure custom Liquid from the ground up.
What I Built
Every section across every page was built with fully editable settings inside the Shopify theme editor. The client can update headings, swap images, change colors, reorder sections, and modify content on any page — without writing a single line of code and without needing to hire a developer for routine updates.
The build included:
— Full Figma to Liquid translation — pixel-perfect implementation of every designed screen — Custom sections with granular theme editor settings for text, images, buttons, and layout options — Editable blocks inside each section so the client can add, remove, and reorder content freely — Product and collection pages built specifically around kitchenware browsing behavior — Mobile-first, fully responsive layout across all screen sizes and devices — Performance optimization built into every layer — clean Liquid, no unnecessary scripts, fast load times — Cross-browser tested for a consistent experience on every device
The Result
The client now has a Shopify store that looks custom-built — because it is — and that they can manage entirely on their own. No developer dependency for content updates. No rigid template limiting what they can do. Just a fast, clean, fully editable Shopify store that matches the brand and converts.

Redesigned in Figma then built from scratch in Liquid — fully editable sections and settings so the client controls every page without touching code.
