I was not employed or given a task by Chaka to implement this design as well as the interaction. It expresses what I feel could be improved on to enable users to enjoy using the app, thus increasing their return on investments.

THE FINAL PROTOTYPE

Chaka is a Nigerian company committed to powering digital borderless investing for African businesses and individuals. Chaka is licensed by SEC to operate in the capital markets.

Users crave interfaces that are accessible and have good interaction. The noticeable gaps, especially in the area of accessibility and interaction on the homepage, were what I aimed to address.

With the outlined issues... I explored and studied competitors like Robinhood, Trove, Bamboo, and other applications using the Drivewealth API.

Struggled with recreating how the local portfolio and Global portfolio would be seen if I should remove the tab bar and came up with the designs below:

Took to the Whimsical app to sketch some ideas that I had... I later went for idea one because it would help get rid of the tab and allow users to switch the view based on the card containing Global to switch to Local Portfolio details.

A pretty interface that makes users fall in love again ...

As much as you have a clean design, you have to pay serious attention to the most minute detail of interaction and the feedback the system provides for the user, thereby increasing usability. I had to learn this when I told some of my friends to test the prototype for me.
