Burnout and Busy

I have to applaud Steve he's as hard-working as they come; from doing construction work from 9-5. to then running a gym well into the night AND being the only trainer. But all that hard work can make you feel burnt out and feel like you don't have time for your own personal projects.
On top of that Steve would try and push social media marketing but with an overflowing plate, how can he not feel overwhelmed? With so much on his mind, we've got a social media identity that lacks strategy, no clear messaging, and a website in need of refreshing. Their content wasn't reaching the right people so potential gym members were slipping through the cracks.

The Issue: Lacking a strategy. What's That?

Imagine having a kickass martial arts gym with amazing diverse classes but not enough members to keep it running. That was my client's reality. They were playing a dangerous game of hide-and-seek with their potential customers and it was time to call in the pros.

Our Solution: Getting Down to Business

I didn't bring capes, but I did bring a no-nonsense attitude. First order of business – a strategy session to get clarity. We dug into the core of their brand, figuring out what made it tick and how to make it tick louder.

Who their audience was? What did they struggle with? Where were they in their journeys?
He had plenty of great photos and imagery, we just needed to be strategic in how we released in. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Executing the Plan: Social Media Makeover and Overhaul

With a strategy in hand, we revamped his social media to target specific audiences based on the platforms used and planned on how we could reuse content and any new media that was recorded. Every post became a targeted hit, not just a shot in the dark.
Instagram and Facebook: Targeted all audiences - Youth, Family, Young Adults, Pros and beginners
Tiktok: youth and young adults who were pros and beginners
Getting clear on the target audience and establishing content pillars that built off their brand values and personality.

The Outcome: Digital Revival

Results? Social engagement increased as potential customers came to know, like and trust the brand enough to want to know more. The strategic content on Instagram and Facebook drew traffic to the website and suddenly, the gym wasn't just existing –they were known and their content was not only showing what happens at the gym but providing value with educative martial arts content.
