Take Your Houseplant for a Walk Day

Satsuma Loans (and Provident Home Credit) are a difficult sell on social media. They’re part of a strictly regulated industry with a very negative public stigma attached to it. Creating content required a different approach, which was solved through deep demographic research that allowed me to deliver targeted material that would still be of interest to the Satsuma and Provident audiences but wasn’t based around the company’s (admittedly unappealing) financial products. The result was to generate primarily female-focused content with a humorous and shareable angle that was based on trending, seasonal events; in the example below, #TakeYourHouseplantForAWalkDay! This was conceived and created within three hours (after Satsuma was let down by its creative agency on the day), and that includes the time it took to buy the plants and edit the video.
