Brand design for Dusk Bar in York

While internshipping at JA!COCO! I created a new brand identity for Dusk Bar in York. The bar wanted an identity that encompassed York’s history of being a ‘haunted’ town but without it being too gimmicky. After some research we decided to persue more gothic imagery and type alongside themes of alchemy and witchcraft. The relationship between the sun and moon was also something we considered as it represented the two experiences found in the bar, more chilled-out cafe during the day and then bar at night, the idea of Dusk being a transformation.
