LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

I was involved in developing a .NET based web application, the library management system for a private firm which immensely helped in maintaining books and saving time.

The interface was user friendly which was well designed using the latest HTML/CSS and Bootstrap technologies, providing different webpages to access various selections.

It consisted of a password protected admin selection which was used to add, delete, update and search the books available in the library and also adding and deleting the members associated with the library using SQL and ASP.NET in the development of the backend.

The system had a panel for assigning, re-issuing and returning the book to the respective user by extracting details of the book and the user for the backend stored in a SQL table. Details of the book and the library members could also be viewed.

The system also had a fine calculation portal for the defaulters which calculated the fine to be paid if the book was unreturned for more than specific number of days. The application was designed using Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server
