Project Overview

TeaTime is a personalized milk tea ordering app designed to enhance the customer experience by combining convenience, customization, and creativity. TeaTime enables users to craft their ideal milk tea drinks, explore trending flavors, and benefit from a seamless ordering process. The app caters primarily to students, young adults, and professionals who appreciate milk tea as a fun and integral part of their lifestyle. Problem Milk tea enthusiasts often face challenges when ordering drinks, including lack of customization options, inaccurate orders, and inconvenient waiting times. Additionally, group orders can become confusing and cumbersome, with payment splits and preferences often creating delays. These pain points detract from the overall enjoyment of indulging in milk tea.
Solution TeaTime introduces an innovative app that simplifies the ordering process. With features like full customization, rewards for loyalty, and live order tracking, TeaTime ensures a smooth and satisfying experience. Customers can order on-the-go, schedule pickups, or choose delivery, reducing wait times and inaccuracies while providing a fun, user-friendly interface.

User Research To design a user-centered experience for the TeaTime app, user research was conducted through surveys, interviews, and observations of tea shop customers. The research focused on understanding their habits, preferences, and frustrations while ordering and enjoying milk tea or working in café-like settings. Key insights helped define the core pain points and areas for improvement.
Young adults (18–30) who frequently visit milk tea shops to relax, socialize, or work.
Students and professionals looking for a convenient, distraction-free ordering process
Pain Points Convenience for Busy Lifestyles Users need a quick and efficient way to place and receive their orders without disrupting their schedules or workflow, especially during busy times.
Order Accuracy and Transparency Customers want confidence that their orders will be prepared correctly, with clear pricing and details, to avoid mistakes or unnecessary charges.
Delivery Experience Many users prefer having their drinks or food delivered directly to their table or workspace, minimizing interruptions and enhancing their overall experience.
