Overview: Gee Gee Foods is an Indian brand specializing in food-making equipment, with a focus on online sales across East India, particularly targeting Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and Nagaland. Our team was brought on board to develop and implement an SEO-driven approach to enhance the brand's visibility in search engine results, improve organic traffic, and ultimately drive qualified leads to their platform.

Objectives and Challenges

The primary goal was to build and boost Gee Gee Foods’ online presence in the competitive markets of East India, specifically for high-intent keywords with commercial and transactional relevance. This involved increasing rankings on Google SERPs, particularly for location-specific keywords.

Key initial challenges included:

Low initial rankings, with target keywords not within the top 100 search results.
Limited organic traffic, with only 96 active monthly users.
Establishing a strong foothold in an online market where competitors were already well-established.

Our Strategy and Approach

Keyword Targeting and Optimization

Initially, we focused on 30 location-based keywords with a mix of commercial and transactional intent. This approach targeted searches relevant to both the brand’s products and the specified geographic areas.
Gradually, we implemented an on-page and technical SEO strategy for the entire website, refining content, metadata, and structure to ensure full optimization.

Results in Rankings and Traffic

Within the first phase, we achieved a significant boost in rankings:
22 of the original 30 keywords reached the top 10 positions in Google SERPs.
8 additional keywords achieved rankings within the top 50.
This led to a traffic increase from 96 active users to a monthly average of 1,500–2,000 active users.

Evolution to Seed Keywords

After the initial success, we shifted focus to 10 high-value seed keywords with a similar commercial and transactional intent.
Within 8 months, 6 of these seed keywords ranked in the top 10, while the remaining keywords steadily climbed to positions within the top 100.

Lead Generation Success

Our organic strategy consistently provided Gee Gee Foods with approximately 20 raw leads daily, which greatly satisfied the client over the two-year engagement period.
