I create brand-aligned lifestyle product imagery using AI-assisted production, with final images manually refined to preserve exact branding, packaging, and proportions.
Project Overview
This project focused on creating high-quality, brand-aligned lifestyle images for Ollie, a pet brand.
The goal was to produce visuals that feel natural, premium, and usable across marketing channels, while preserving the exact product packaging, typography, and proportions.
Rather than relying on fully AI-generated product imagery, I used AI as a creative production tool and handled final compositing manually to ensure brand accuracy and visual consistency.
Challenges
While AI tools can be amazing, they are not there yet.
Most AI-generated product images distort branding (warped logos, altered packaging, incorrect proportions, unreadable text, different coloring). This makes the images unusable for real businesses. You can't send a marketing email containing an image where the product packaging isn't clearly visible. Or worse, containing an image that is noticeably generated by AI.
The solution is to create strong prompts to get realistic images that are realistic and natural, just as if you had hired an influencer to shoot some photos, or even hired a full production team for a product photoshoot.
The only difference: you pay way less for AI images and get the same results
Creative Strategy + Process
Before generating visuals, I defined the brand’s visual language.
Then, I proceeded to generate high-resolution lifestyle scenes using Midjourney, focused on lighting, mood, and composition (without the product or with a generic product placed where intended).
Selected scenes that aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and target audience.
Manually composited the real product into each scene using Photoshop.
Adjusted scale, perspective, shadows, and color balance for a natural, realistic finish.

Why My Approach Works
Everyone has access to these tools, but not everyone can produce on-brand images that look real.
AI is most powerful when paired with human taste and brand awareness. And not to toot my own horn, but I pride myself in fully understanding the brand voice and vision, and producing content that is highly aesthetic and appealing to the target audience.
By separating environment creation from product accuracy, this workflow maintains full creative control while eliminating the most common AI pitfalls: distorted logos, inconsistent packaging, and unrealistic proportions.
