The junko faruta case

The main character in this Japanese case is a girl named Junko Faruta. Junko was born on November 22, 1971, and was a seventeen-year-old high school student at the time of the incident. She lived in Misato City, Japan, with her parents and had a part-time job. Everybody in the neighborhood loves and accepts Junko. She is also highly regarded for her poise, intelligence, good manners, as well as resistance to peer pressure

In Novemrer 25, 1988, Junko had just wrapped up her work shift and decided to ride her bicycle home that evening. As she was heading home, a boy of similar age came out of nowhere, kicked her bike and took off. Junko fell to the ground but she was assisted in getting up by a boy whose name is hiroshi miyano, he approached her from across the street after witnessing everything that had happened. The boy offered to walk her home, and since she knew him from school, she accepted and they strolled together. Meanwhile, Junko rejected Hiroshi when he had a crush on her in the past.

While strolling down the street, Hiroshi and Junko were chatting so much that Junko became engrossed in their conversation and nearly forgot she had been in an accident earlier that night. Upon arriving at an abandoned warehouse, which hiroshi led her into, Hiroshi abruptly changed his demeanor, yelling and pushing. He threatened Junko with death if she did not obey his order, claiming to be related to the person who hit her bicycle and having connections to the Japanese mafia. It appears that Hiroshi sexually assaulted Junko in the warehouse before taking her to a nearby hotel, where he raped her twice more. Following the incident, Junko deduced the reason behind Hiroshi's actions. She felt that it was because she had turned him down, which damaged Hiroshi's pride as no one had ever turned him down before.

Hiroshi called his friends early in the morning to let them know what he had done to junko. His friends were thrilled to learn about the incident and instructed Hiroshi to hold onto the girl until they arrived so they could treat her the same way. Hiroshi picked up Junko from the hotel at three in the morning, and they went to a nearby park, where his friends Jo, Shinji, and Yasushi joined him. When Hiroshi's friends arrived, junko immediately recognized one of them as the person who kicked her bike, so she knew it was all a ruse all along. After that, Hiroshi gave his friend access to Junko's bag so they could look inside for anything of value. Sadly, her home address was discovered. Following their discovery of the address, they threatened to send mafia members to her home and kill her parents if she disobeyed them.

The four boys picked her up from the park and brought her to Hiroshima's parents' house. The parents of Hiroshi were careless; they never bothered to inquire as to what was happening. Furthermore, the parents are terrified of their own son because they are aware of his ties to the Japanese mafia. After two days, Junko's parents became concerned about their daughter's disappearance. They informed the cops, so the boys knew they needed to cover their tracks. They forced Junko to call her parents and inform them that she was safe and only wanted to be away for a short time. She also persuaded her parents to cancel the police search, which they did. Her parents were relieved to learn that she was safe, so they stopped worrying.She knew she was hopeless after making the call, and that help was coming from nowhere. For forty days, they tortured Junko in various ways under the roof of Hiroshi's parents. In addition to being stabbed, she was raped repeatedly—an estimated 400 times during the duration of her captivity. She was beaten and forced to consume live cockroaches as well as her own deficate and urine. They used her as a punching bag and beat her whenever they wanted. Usually, they force her to masturbate in front of them, and occasionally they even stick a lighter, scissors, or blade inside her intimate area. Both of the junko's nipples were brutally punctured by Hiroshi and his friends. They reached a stage where they were inviting friends to partake in the torture.

They invited Tesuwa and Kiyoshi, two of their friends, to partake in the same kind of torture they inflicted on Junko. When the two boys arrived at the scene, they tortured and raped her as well. Tesuwa was more intentional, but Kiyoshi felt guilty after they raped her. Kiyoshi then returned home and told his brother what he and his friend had done to the girl in Hiroshi's home. The information eventually made its way to the police, who decided to search Hiroshi's house. When the police arrived, they knocked on the door, but it was Hiroshi's parent who opened it. Just as the police were about to enter the house, they questioned Hiroshi's parents, who claimed that they had not seen or heard anything from the house. They gave the cops permission to enter and conduct an unrestricted search. However, the careless cops did not enter the house because they believed that Hiroshi's parents would not have allowed them in if they were hiding something. Without even taking a peek at the house, the police left.

Junko managed to pick up a phone and call the police three weeks into her captivity because the boys were caught off guard, but hiroshi caught her before she could finish the call. They punished her for trying to contact the police by tying her legs, pouring fluid on her body, and setting her ablaze. She could not take the pain any longer and began convulsing. They even forced her to sleep in the corridor outside the house in the cold weather, and they also put her in the refrigerator. She was tortured so severely by them that it was impossible to recognize her. The guys were no longer interested in her because of her awful, damaged, crippled body and foul-smelling body; instead, they went looking for other girls to torment. They therefore discovered a 19-year-old girl and gang-raped her, but they did not retain her as they did with Junko.

On January 4, 1989, one of the boys challenged Junko to a game, which Junko won. The fact that junko had won the game infuriated the boy. So he started torturing her once more. She was tortured for about two hours. She was beaten, waxed, and burned during the torment; she bled so much that she started convulsing once more. As she bled out, every wound on her body opened up. Evidently, this torture caused Junko to pass out. It took the boys a full day to realize that Junko was dead, even though they had assumed she had passed out like she had every other time she was tortured. Her body was wrapped in clothing and placed in a travel bag before being disposed of. Subsequently, she was disposed of by being placed in a 55-gallon drum filled with damp concrete.

Three weeks after Junko passed away, on January 23, 1989, Hiroshi and Jo were taken into custody for the rape of a 19-year-old girl whom they had sexually assaulted after they had grown disinterested in Junko.

They were each questioned separately by the police. However, because a double murder occurred around that time, the police insisted that the boys were aware of the murder. When Hiroshi heard this, he assumed the police were discussing Junko's murder and that Jo had already confessed to everything they had done. So Hiroshi broke down and confessed everything to the police.

He also revealed the location of her body. So the cops went there and took junko's body, which everyone assumed was with a friend somewhere else. Without her finger print, they would not have been able to identify her. Hiroshi revealed the identities of the other boys who had participated in this crime.

However, because none of them had turned eighteen, the police chose to withhold their identities from the public. A magazine reporter discovered their identities and revealed them to the entire world. Due to the fact that none of the boys had reached the age of eighteen, the court accepted their plea of not guilty to murder, but found them guilty of bodily injury that caused murder. As a result of their appeal being granted, their sentence was reduced.

Hiroshi Miyano was originally sentenced to seventeen years in prison in July of 1990. However, he attempted to appeal the decision, and the court decided that the original sentence was insufficient and added three more years to make the total twenty years. The court ruled that Hiroshi's parents had to pay Junko's parents back for their loss. Hiroshi's parents had to sell their home in order to raise the money needed to pay the requested compensation. After the release of Hiroshi Miyano, he changed his name to Hiroshi Yokoyama.

As an accomplice, Shinji Minato was also given a sentence of 4-6 years, but like Hiroshi, he appealed and had his sentence increased to 5–9 years. Additionally, Shinji's parents were told to compensate Junko's mother in any way. Shinji moved in with his mother after finishing his sentence, and he has not had a job since. Yasushi Watanabe's original sentence of three to four years was later increased to five to seven years.

Jo Kamisaku was released from the juvenile prison in 1999 after serving eight years. Following his release, he moved on, settled down, and got married, but he never stopped bragging to others about his involvement in the junko faruto's murder. Later, Jo suspected a man of having an affair with his wife. Jo then tracked down the man, beat him, and threw him behind the wheel of his car before taking him to a bar owned by his murderer, where he continued to beat the man for four. He received a further seven years in prison for this incident. When he got out of prison, he changed his name to Jo Komisaku. On the other hand, his mother had already demolished Junko's grave, claiming he had destroyed his son's life. Jo was later observed blowing his parents' money on entertainment, a trip, and gold.
