Mil Méxicos - Cultural Discovery Platform

Mil Méxicos is a cultural discovery platform dedicated to showcasing Mexico's rich heritage through its Pueblos Mágicos (Magic Towns), travel routes, local challenges, and authentic stories. The platform serves as both a travel inspiration tool and a cultural preservation project.

Mexico has 177 designated Pueblos Mágicos, each with unique history, traditions, and attractions, but most travelers only know a handful. Existing travel resources were fragmented, outdated, or focused exclusively on tourist hotspots. Mil Méxicos needed to be a single, beautiful, authoritative source for discovering the depth of Mexican culture and geography.

Interactive Discovery Experience Users explore Mexico's regions, Pueblos Mágicos, and cultural routes through an interactive, map-driven interface. Content is organized by region, theme, and difficulty level for different types of travelers.

Content Management & SEO Architecture Built a robust content system optimized for search engines, with structured data, clean URLs, and a content hierarchy designed to rank for long-tail cultural and travel queries across Spanish-language search.

Performance-First Frontend Server-side rendered with Next.js for fast initial loads and strong SEO. The frontend uses React components with responsive layouts optimized for mobile (where most users browse travel content).

Backend & API Layer Node.js backend serving content APIs, handling user interactions, and managing the content pipeline from editorial to publication.
