Object & Order: Interior Design Operations Software

OVERVIEW
Object & Order is operations software for interior design firms. I designed the product, workflows, financial rules, full application, identity, and public website after seeing procurement run through disconnected spreadsheets and email.
THE PRODUCT
The application brings projects, schedules, orders, invoices, a reusable product library, connected email, tasks, and a private client view into one system. A web clipper captures product details and documents directly from vendor websites.
PURCHASING AND PAYMENTS
The system supports two purchasing paths. Object & Order can act as merchant of record, collect the client payment, pay the vendor, and distribute the firm’s markup; or the firm can purchase directly while Object & Order records and tracks the order.
ENGINEERING
The SvelteKit application runs on Supabase with authentication, Postgres, realtime schedule editing, and private file storage. Stripe handles connected accounts, invoices, tax, payment schedules, and webhooks. QuickBooks and AfterShip provide accounting reconciliation and shipment tracking.
BRAND AND EXPERIENCE
I created the name, identity, product interface, and public site as one system. The result gives an interior design firm a single operational record from first specification through client approval, invoicing, purchasing, tracking, and delivery.
Object & Order brings interior design operations into one product.
Projects, schedules, orders, invoices, product records, and client approvals share one workflow.
The identity system extends from the application to physical project materials.
Two purchasing paths preserve the right merchant-of-record and payment logic.
Payments, accounting, purchase orders, and tracking are enforced by the application architecture.
