Personas

Sitemap

With our personas and our main data points completed, I was able to move on to the site mapping of the feature. I started by looking at ESPN's home page to gauge how they currently structure their site map and I took inspiration from that layout and made my very own which had changed along the way the further I kept working.

Prototyping
The screen below shows the various prototyping connections that were required for the full aspect of the project. The top section shows the quiz connections that are able to accurately track correct and incorrect answers and give a total overall score. I created this by simply branching every screen with 1 correct and 3 incorrect answers and repeating the process for every instance. Doing so created a fully functioning gaming quiz!
PROJECT REFLECTION
Further reworking of this feature would include deeper user testing to get more data on why certain decisions and user's paths were taken and also how the reworking screens would aid in retaking the testing. I would add more screens and features and go back to cross-reference the competition once more. Overall ESPNV was a fun feature to dive into user-facing dynamics and to see how assumptions are not always what we think. There are many opportunities for improvement based on the feedback and the data collected. Some results were very surprising as channels that were required to be launched all had titles labeled to help the user yet most could not successfully complete the task. This is why live testing is crucial in true user testing to get live feedback as users work through each task.
