Sharemoney Blog — Reverse-Proxy Architecture, Custom Plugins & Deployment Automation

Sharemoney.com processes a massive slice of the over $1 billion in annual transfers managed by its parent company, targeting a global remittance landscape that is projected to hit a staggering $879.24 billion in total volume.
Sharemoney, a global remittance platform, wanted to migrate its company blog from Wix to WordPress while maintaining SEO authority and seamlessly integrating it under the main domain
I led the full migration, design, and development process — from building a custom Elementor setup and SEO-safe proxying system to ensuring content and translations were optimized for both English and Spanish users.

What I focused on:

Developed a custom Elementor Addons Plugin (UEA) with widgets for Featured, Popular, and Tabbed posts.
Created responsive templates for posts, categories, and explore pages matching Sharemoney’s brand identity.
Built an SEO-focused proxy structure where the blog runs on a subdomain but indexes under sharemoney.com/blog.
Integrated multilingual support with TranslatePress and RankMath for proper hreflang and canonical setup.
Added a deployment automation system from GitHub → SiteGround using a secure webhook.

Technical Highlights:

Custom MU-plugins for canonical tags, robots.txt control, and relative URLs for SEO integrity.
Optimized Elementor assets, lazy loading, and image sizes for fast performance.
Configured staging vs production behaviors with “noindex” protection for testing environments.
Structured blog sections: Featured, Popular, Latest, and Explore Topics.

Feeling Yachty – Emergency Recovery, Server Stabilization & Performance Engineering

Feelingyachty.com is a Miami- and Panama-based luxury charter operator with a 400+ vessel fleet and 2,200+ verified 5-star reviews across TripAdvisor and Google.
FeelingYachty is a luxury yacht rental company in Miami. I was brought in during a critical phase when the site had crashed after plugin conflicts and server resource issues.
My role was to recover, stabilize, and optimize the WordPress installation — restoring lost content, fixing Elementor Pro conflicts, optimizing server performance, and re-establishing Cloudflare SSL while improving overall load times and reliability.

What I focused on:

Recovered the website from multiple broken backups (Aug 13–21 versions).
Created a staging version (test.feelingyachty.com) to safely restore content and test Elementor updates.
Resolved Elementor Pro version conflicts and removed deprecated plugins (Redirection, Duplicate Page, etc.).
Switched SSL handling from Plesk to Cloudflare and optimized caching layers.
Implemented lazy-loading for galleries to reduce PHP memory overload and prevent 500 errors.
Cleaned and optimized over 300 yacht listings, fixing broken media and links.
Repaired and standardized the homepage structure and sliders for faster rendering.
Resolved sitemap indexing issues (Rank Math vs. Yoast), achieving full category indexing.
Performed speed and SEO optimizations using Screaming Frog and PageSpeed insights.

WordPress Backend Development: Tickera Add-On, PDF Generation & Shopify Order Sync

BADDWorldwide.com is a Florida-registered nonprofit that has campaigned against drunk driving since the mid-1980s. The site takes roughly 135,000 visits a month and the organization sends around 1.75 million emails monthly, so entry volume arrives in campaign-driven spikes rather than a steady trickle.
Temporal Wordpress Development for Badd Tickets, I built a complete custom plugin solution to streamline event ticketing on WooCommerce, enhance Tickera’s functionality, and integrate Shopify orders through a secure webhook system.
The project focused on automating ticket generation, improving the admin experience, and synchronizing orders between Shopify and WooCommerce for a seamless e-commerce flow.
This system ensured that each ticket order—whether created in WooCommerce or Shopify—automatically generated the correct number of tickets, updated statuses in real time, and stored clean records with no duplication.

What I focused on:

Developed a custom Tickera add-on plugin to handle multiple ticket generations per order.
Created AJAX-based admin tools for ticket type selection, CSV exports, and PDF downloads.
Implemented a PDF generator that saves documents server-side and returns secure download URLs.
Built a Shopify → WooCommerce webhook bridge for real-time order syncing and updates.
Added HMAC verification for Shopify webhook security and idempotent Woo order mapping.
Configured robust logging and debugging tools for webhook events and ticket generation tracking.

WordPress → Shopify Migration: SEO Preservation, Redirect Mapping & App Integration

Gevenalle.com The store ships worldwide with localized pricing across 200+ countries and territories, and serves both direct retail and wholesale bike-shop accounts,
Gevenalle migrated a cycling components store from WooCommerce to Shopify without losing indexed traffic — 51-page URL map, master 301 redirect file, dynamic SEO title logic, and replacement of every WordPress plugin with a Shopify equivalent.
I audited the WordPress install plugin-by-plugin and setting-by-setting, then rebuilt each piece of functionality on Shopify.
SEO preservation and URL architecture
Mapped all 51 primary pages from the legacy WordPress site to their Shopify destinations
Built a master 301 redirect file covering Shopify's /products/ and /collections/ structure, so indexed links and customer bookmarks resolve correctly
Implemented "safety redirects" for archived products — instead of 404s, discontinued SKUs route to the closest live collection (Brakes, Shifters) and keep the visitor in the store
Wrote a theme-level script that generates page titles dynamically and handles the edge cases: brand suffix injection (Shifters | Gevenalle), tag-filtered collections (Shifters – Gravel | Gevenalle), pagination (Shifters – Page 2 | Gevenalle), long-title truncation, and duplicate-brand prevention when the product name already contains "Gevenalle." Written to survive a theme change.
Set meta descriptions across ~20 core pages (Home, FAQ, Shipping, Compatibility, Manuals, collection and policy pages)
Plugin and integration replacement
Back-in-stock waitlist (login-free signup, email capture, restock triggers) rebuilt with Stoq, including Klaviyo integration
Analytics migrated off Jetpack and deprecated Universal Analytics onto Shopify's native dashboard plus a new GA4 property through the Google & YouTube app, with event tracking for add-to-cart and checkout
Mailchimp reconnected and promo codes recreated
Wholesale logic (pricing rules, customer segmentation by tag, MOQ and subtotal rules, discount priority, coupon restrictions) scoped and data exported for Wholesale Gorilla; documented the one thing Shopify can't replicate — payment gateway restrictions — rather than leaving it as a surprise
Contact form submissions exported, since Shopify doesn't persist them
Checkout configured with Shop Pay primary and PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay secondary

WordPress Backend, Security and Malware Cleanup & Marketing Integrations — Peak Communication

When I spoke with Mr. Mike Smith, the site needed more than a redesign — it needed a stable WordPress backend that could support ad campaigns, email marketing, and lead tracking without breaking.
My focus was on keeping the site secure, fixing server-level issues, and wiring up the integrations behind the conversion-focused frontend.
What I focused on:
WordPress core maintenance & recovery — Manual core updates, plugin audits, and fatal PHP error troubleshooting on an IIS/Windows hosting environment
Malware cleanup & hardening — Full backup of files and MySQL database, Wordfence/MalCare scanning, removal of injected code from wp-config.php, .htaccess, and theme/plugin files, database cleanup in wp_options/wp_posts, and post-recovery security hardening (firewall rules, login protection, disabled PHP execution in uploads).
Email delivery (Contact Form 7 + WP Mail SMTP) — Diagnosed “Could not connect to SMTP host” errors; configured Gmail OAuth via WP Mail SMTP; resolved cURL SSL certificate issues by placing cacert.pem and updating php.ini on the Windows/IIS server.
Mailchimp setup & campaign infrastructure — Account configuration, branded templates, list organization, sender authentication (SPF/DKIM), and scheduled email blasts for the Crexendo® partnership campaign.
Google Ads conversion tracking — Set up conversion actions for contact form submissions and phone clicks; integrated gtag with Contact Form 7 (wpcf7mailsent events); worked around Wordfence blocking tracking scripts in the header.
AdWords landing logic (Elementor) — Custom JavaScript/CSS to detect gclid / UTM parameters and conditionally show the correct CTA buttons for paid vs organic traffic.
IIS permalink & routing fixes — Resolved 404 errors on inner pages after core updates; configured rewrite rules so /contact/ and other routes worked correctly alongside the homepage.
Google Search Console cleanup — Identified and submitted spam/junk /product/ URLs for temporary removal after the malware incident.
This project covered the full backend stack for a B2B telecom site: WordPress on IIS, email infrastructure, marketing automation, ads tracking, and post-incident recovery.
