Still Rising: The Story of Milk Cloud Bakery

Still Rising is an 11-minute branded documentary produced for Milk Cloud Bakery, a small-batch, founder-led bakery known for its shokupan and seasonal fruit sandwiches.

The objective was to document the founder’s story while capturing the business's operational rhythm. We focused on process, environment, and personal narrative to create a grounded, honest portrait of the brand.

ARKYVS handled concept development, interview direction, cinematography, and post-production.

Production included kitchen filming during early morning prep, structured sit-down interviews, pop-up event coverage, and detailed product visuals. We captured both controlled compositions and observational footage to balance story and realism.

In post-production, we structured the film around the founder’s voice, layering interview audio with process-driven B-roll. Color grading was kept natural to preserve texture and warmth. Sound design emphasized ambient kitchen audio and live event atmosphere.

Deliverables included an 11-minute documentary film and short-form cutdowns for social distribution.

The final piece positions Milk Cloud Bakery not just as a product brand, but as a founder-driven story rooted in craft and resilience.
