Nowadays more than a quarter of people die from dementia, most commonly Alzheimer. Dementia affects the brain and restricts the ability to think, remember and reason. Forget Me Not, is what seems to be a normal lamp on your night stand. But by offering three types of light treatment, Forget Me Not can slow down, or even reverse, the effects of this cognitive disease.
The lamp turns on with the click of a button. On the top image, the lamp is in the red mode. When you want to switch to bright light, you simply pull up the middle layer and it snaps to the top.
Red: Calms the brain, allowing the brain to properly rest and recover.
Bright: Bright light exposure in the morning helps set the circadian rhythm. The brain will then make melatonin (sleep hormone) at the right moment.
Flickering: Helps regulate the gamma waves in the brain. In people with Alzheimer this can combat the fogginess and help with mental clarity.
